Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Brook Stephenson is a second generation artist and educator. An avid observer of the human condition he has done independent study in Germany, England, the Netherlands, Southern Italy, Peru and Brazil. Having published hundreds of articles in entertainment and business he continues to infuse various techniques and subjects illustrating a contemporary African-American perspective of global and domestic life, times, and trends.
Both an educator and cultural critic Brook Stephenson has edited, shot photography, or written for Rolling Out urbanstyle weekly, NV Magazine, Vibe, Smooth, King, XXL, Scratch, Black Issues Book Review, Uptown, Uptownlive.net, The Source, Nat Creole.com, The industry cosign.com, and others.
He resides in Brooklyn and is editing the second draft of book one of a literary trilogy.
